Mission Statement for Nursery:

In Nursery, we strive to have the students increasingly take responsibility for their own things at school, work on the acquisition of basic social skills, and expand their learning experiences through multi-sensory methodology.

The Nursery program at GEMS is a part-day program, from 8:00 am - 12:15 pm. The team in nursery works collaboratively to ensure consistency throughout the grade level. Nursery has music and physical education, incorporating music and movement as specialist subjects, although a lot of music and physical movement is happening in the classrooms throughout the day. Students are mainly classroom based. Throughout the week, outside play areas, at least twice.

Students bring their own snack to school and eat it in group. Teachers and special care Ayyamma’sremain with the students at all time and help students eat during snack time, and we strive to not exceed 20 students in each class.

Primary - Upper Primary Years


THE PRIMARY SECTION CONSISTS OF STANDARDS I TO IV.

The aim of the Primary School is to mould a child’s personality to include healthy attitudes and good values. While the main objective is to impart literacy, numeracy and communication skills to the students, teachers also employ teaching and learning methods that naturally engage the child’s curiosity, creativity and activity.

The teachers, at all times, inculcate in students the habits of cleanliness, good personal hygiene, and healthful living, and help them acquire a taste and sense for the good and beautiful, while caring for and respecting the natural environment.

Through various activities and games, the students are also taught the values of teamwork, leadership, honesty, and compassion. The subject followed more of ICSCE pattern, which are as follows:

Syllabus helps the students, teachers as well as parents.

Students get an idea of the different subjects and chapters that will be covered in that academic year.

Teachers can plan and conduct classes accordingly. Also, parents get acquainted with the topics that are being taught to their children.

The students are suggested to go through the syllabus properly and study diligently for the Maharashtra State Board SSC Exam.
